A Capella
Though I had been familiar with A Capella for a long time, it was not until high school that I finally became part of it, of ACA Together.
At the club fair just after the school was open in my freshman fall, I joined ACA Together, which had only one member, the founder of the club. However, with members joining in constantly, we won first place in the school talent show. Three years later, the talent show this year was my fourth time standing on the stage as a member of the A Capella club. Excited as I used to be.
I realize that I am still here not because I am desperately needed but because I love here, the atmosphere, the people, our share love to the fantastic harmony.
Bel Canto
I started learning Bel Canto at the age of 4. However, rather than making me know how to sing, it actually makes me open to music, start to appreciate it and enjoy it.
Also, it was singing that first pushed me onto the stage and opened the relationship between stage and me.
Nowadays, apart from the singing techniques and skills I learned from it, I am satisfied the most with the fact that I am confident to sing every time I want to use my voice to create something.
Piano
Starting from the age of 6, Piano is the one that educates me the most in the field of music. Apart from technical skills of playing the piano, I am able to learn music theory, solfeggio and ear training, music history, etc.
I don't know since when playing the piano has become a way to relax or comfort myself. The movement of fingers on the black and white keys and the melody flowing out of the lid drag me into their world and rhythm.
For now, piano is also an instrument to record the beautiful melody that I hear elsewhere and to come up with some accompaniment of melodies I compose on my own.
